Day 1
SKIATHOS Only a short distance from the airport, you join your gulet in the charming Skiathos harbour. This is the most developed island of the chain, covered with trees and very green for most of the year. Given the many beaches, its time to relax into your vacation, familiarise yourself with the yacht and relish the thought of your first night on board with a welcome dinner and perhaps a stroll along the bustling waterfront, lined with bars and restaurants.

Day 2
SKIATHOS to SKOPELOS ISLAND (Panormus bay) As your captain skillfully navigates the hidden approach to the bay, the vista opens up to reveal the village built on the site of an ancient town. You may even spot the archaeological remains still to be seen on the beach.

Day 3
SKOPELOS ISLAND to ALONNISOS ISLAND (Patitiri) Patitiri is the largest town on Alonnisos, and also home to the largest harbour on the island. Until 1965 it was a relatively minor harbour which served the old town of Palia, but an earthquake made the old town uninhabitable meaning the whole town moved down the hill. Excellent shelter here and a comfortable spot to visit, even when the Meltimi is strong.

Day 4
ALONNISOS ISLAND (Patitiri) to Kyra Panagia The hustle and bustle of Skiathos town will appear a distant memory by comparison to Kyra Panagia. This small island, like many in the area, is one of the many that doesn’t support a permanent population, apart that is for a few monks from a small monastery on the east coast. The island itself is a marine nature reserve and you may well just spot a Mediterranean Monk Seal or two.

Day 5
Kyra Panagia to SKOPELOS ISLAND (Skopelos) Skopelos is the largest of the four main islands in the Sporades. The nearest inhabited islands are Skiathos to the west and Alonissos to the east. Natural vegetation exists in abundance here, due to a large number of natural springs and the island is home to large olive groves, plum trees, almond and orange trees. The island is also famous in ancient history for the quality of its wine.

Day 6
Skopelos to Koukounaries Koukounaries lies at the southwest end of Skiathos in a large sandy bay. A forest reserve can be found behind the beach, beyond that you can find a lagoon which is connected to the sea by a small river which follows out into the little harbour. It’s a beautiful little spot, well worth exploring in the dinghy.

Day 7
Koukounaries to SKIATHOS TOWN As you return to the whitewashed houses and cobbled streets of Skiathos town, and the now familiar bars and restaurants, perhaps you may just stumble across an open air concert to while away an carefree hour or so enjoying perhaps a grass of Retsina.

Day 8
SKIATHOS TOWN (SKIATHOS ISLAND) – SKIATHOS As you prepare to leave the gulet, you relish unforgettable memories of this chain of truly beautiful yet varied islands.
